This policy explains how CoreJoint ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our platform at corejoint.com.
1. Information we collect
When you browse CoreJoint, we collect standard web analytics data — pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region (city/state level). We do not collect personally identifiable information from anonymous visitors.
When you submit a quote request (RFQ) or register as a dealer, we collect: your name, phone number, email address, city, and the details of your enquiry or business listing. This information is necessary to connect buyers with dealers.
Dealer accounts additionally store your business name, address, pricing data, and authentication credentials (stored as a salted hash — we never store plain-text passwords).
2. How we use your information
Quote request data (name, phone, city, material requirements) is shared with relevant dealers in your area so they can respond to your enquiry. We do not sell or rent this data to third parties.
Dealer contact details (business name, phone, city) are displayed publicly on the platform to enable buyers to find and contact you. You control what appears by editing your dealer profile.
We may use your email address to send transactional messages (quote confirmations, account notifications). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
Aggregate, anonymised analytics data is used to improve the platform and understand which cities and materials buyers are most interested in.
3. Cookies and tracking
CoreJoint uses essential cookies to maintain your session when logged in to the dealer portal or admin area. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled without breaking portal functionality.
We use privacy-respecting analytics (no cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers). Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell behavioural data to ad networks.
4. Data sharing
We share your data only as described: quote details with relevant dealers, dealer profiles publicly on the platform. We do not sell personal data.
We use Supabase (hosted in AWS) for our database, operating under a data processing agreement. Data is stored in the Asia Pacific region.
We may disclose data if required by Indian law, a court order, or to protect the safety of users on the platform.
5. Data retention
Quote requests are retained for 90 days, then anonymised. Dealer accounts and their associated data are retained for as long as the account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Contact below).
Anonymised analytics data is retained for up to 2 years to identify long-term price trends.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
If you registered as a dealer, you can update your profile information directly from the dealer portal at any time.
If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly, you have the right to raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority.
